Cooper-Hewitt Archives: World of Magic Poster

While some of you may already be aware of this promotional poster, I’m featuring it because this version comes straight from the Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Archives in New York City.

It’s colors and quality are highly preserved, and this is definitely one of the most pristine versions I’ve ever seen. For me, this poster has always stood out because of its abstract nature that still screams out Doug Henning loud and clear!

Those wishing for more information please see below. However, while reading do you see what I see? Ca. 1977 might not be correct now is it?

Poster, Mobil, Doug Henning’s World of Magic, ca. 1977; Designed by Chermayeff & Geismar Associates (United States); lithograph on paper; 117 × 76.3 cm (46 1/16 × 30 1/16 in.); Gift of Unknown Donor; 1980-32-1006
