It goes without saying that this photo features Chita Rivera in her role as the evil Queen in “Merlin.” Taken in a dressing room, this picture really showcases the beautiful and detailed costuming that was prevalent in the production as a whole. Even in this casual setting, its impact isn’t lessened one bit. 

Chita Rivera’s career continues in leaps and bounds well into the 21st century. In 2002, she became the first Latina to receive the Kennedy Center Honor Award, and in 2009 the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
