In a post from a couple years ago, I featured publicity images from Doug’s “World of Magic I” rehearsals with Julie Newmar. While at the time I thought I had printed all that was out there, this little gem came up today on Instagram.
The picture doesn’t seem as staged as the previous ones, and gives a bit of insight into how Doug and Julie were working out the box illusion that would feature in that evening’s performance. No secrets revealed of course.
While the discussion they were having is lost to time, this unique and rare image still exists well into the 21st century on a little place called the world wide web.
