The above photo and signed playing card is from magician Brad Toulouse, and comes from a time when he met Doug after a show. The following is Brad’s description of the night itself:

“It was taken backstage at the Ford Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. I went with Johnny Ould to see Doug Henning’s World of Magic. Not sure the date…..I want to say in 1977 but could be wrong…

(It was) One of the most amazing experiences of my life. Doug definitely instilled in me the childlike wonder of magic. He, Jeff McBride, and Jeff Hobson are my three main influences…..and of course my mentor Johnny Ould”
