Today, May 3rd, is what would have been Doug’s 74th birthday!
A website, fan’s remembrances, and collections can never fully substitute for the man himself. However, it’s important that we continue to keep his memory alive and a topic of conversation well into the future. I feel that’s been happening over the last few years, and for that I’m glad.
I often wonder what Doug in his 70s would be like. Somehow, I don’t think he would be that far off from what our mind’s eye has conjured. He’d be still full of positivity, warmth, kindness, and, of course, wonder.
