The above poster or flyer comes from Doug’s popular lecture tour “Illusion and Reality,” and is markedly different than the one that most fans recognize below. The tour itself was a mixture of Doug’s more famous illusions with a lecture on psychology and the mind. 

It’s interesting to note that the first poster famous lists illusionist/ventriloquist Jay Marshall as introducing Doug.

Marshall himself was notable not only for his  performances with his gloved sidekick Lefty, but for owning the famed Chicago magic store “Magic, Inc.” It’s an institution that’s still going strong today, thirteen years after his passing.
