“Doug Henning Project” friend Paul Driscoll has asked me to post more items for sale from his great collection. Boy are they unique!
As usual, I am only posting the item as a favor for Paul. Please contact him directly at the email provided to discuss details. Take it away Paul!
I have a few more costumes which I obtained at the auction when Doug retired. The first piece I suspect was worn by the assistant in the “Fire Dome” illusion. It’s a flesh colored body suit, beaded and sequined. Although, it’s not the costume worn in the illusion on Doug’s second “World of Magic.”
Most likely it was used on tour, Vegas, etc. Henning aficionados will likely recognize it. The label in the costume is from “PZAZZ Designs Costumes of Hollywood, CA”.
The second piece is a lavender body suit studded in stones. I have no information on it’s history. Again, those familiar with the Henning wardrobe may recognize it. The third piece is a pull over with the Chrysler Motor Company star logo on the front. I’m pretty sure it was worn by assistants in Doug’s industrial shows for Chrysler when he was promoting the Voyager Mini-Vans. The name “Tina” is written on the label.
The final piece is a funky cowboy hat with cow horns. These hats were worn by the dancers when Doug presented “The Barricaded Barrels (Through The Eye of A Needle)” illusion on a “World of Magic” special. The number was Western themed, hence the cow horn hats. All three costumes are in super condition. The cowboy hat has some wear.
paul I emailed you last time my email went to spam folder zigmont@zigmont.com
