I’d be remiss in not mentioning two very important events happening this week. Today, of course, is the 78th birthday of Douglas James Henning. Born on May 3, 1947, Doug’s influence is one that continues on, and on, and, well, on…
Without him, many of you wouldn’t have made that first step into the world of magic. Breaking boundaries and walls is a term that is used in a rather cavalier sense these day. But, with Doug, it’s the 100% God’s honest truth!
I’ve said this before, but wherever you are today. Take a moment. Look to the heavens, and thank a man who thankfully walked this Earth.

And, on a lesser note. This past Monday was the 8th anniversary of “The Doug Henning Project.” My sincere thanks to all of you that continue to come to the site, and write me with your questions. It has been an honor to keep Doug’s memory alive. While it isn’t always easy to do consistent posts, I will always keep this site alive with more magic and wonder.

Gone but not forgotten.

Doug was a great influence over many people. I worked with luminaries such as Jeff McBride and Gary Kurtz in Montreal, Canada in my youth and both of them told me that Henning and his thoughtful presentation were magical.
