Recently, I was going through photos of my trip to New York City last November, and came across this photo I had long forgotten about. At the time, the city was trying to reignite Broadway audiences long dormant during COVID and fearful of subways. To do this, the MTA looked to the past to influence the present. Does something look familiar?

While Doug was no longer in the cast of “The Magic Show” when the above original 1977 ad was plastered all over. It’s nice to see that the show itself was still riding strong with actor Joe Abaldo, and a noted part of the then Broadway community.
