Cort Theater Photos

And I’m back! After a busy three weeks off, “The Doug Henning Project” is up and running for service.

During this time, I had the pleasure of spending a week in New York City. NYC is memorable for many reasons, not least of which is that Broadway is the home of the Cort Theater. The Cort, as I’m sure many of you know, was the original home of “The Magic Show.”

That’s right! From 1974-1978, Doug and a handful of replacement actors thrilled audiences in this very building six days a week. It’s funny that when I originally lived in New York I never took any pictures of it. Well, I wasn’t going to make the same mistake twice. Enjoy!

It’s worth noting that the above “Stage Door” pictures document the place where young magic aficionados would wait for Doug after each performance. Doug would mentor and school many of them in various ways to improve their magic skills.
